We want deposits and withdrawals to be quick and simple for you. These rules keep them that way, and they're also what our payment and banking partners require.
The basics
- Use your own name. Deposit from, and withdraw to, a bank account, card or wallet in your own name.
- Any method in, any method out. You can withdraw by a different method from the one you deposited with. However, we may, at our discretion, return a withdrawal to the source of your deposit. This usually applies only to card deposits: see below.
- Deposits are for trading. Deposit to trade, not to move money in and straight back out.
- We may ask for more information. Our banking partners sometimes need extra details or documents before a payment can be processed. If so, we'll email you, and a withdrawal shows as On Hold until we have them.
Timing
- Deposits are credited automatically. See How long do deposits take?
- Withdrawals are processed Monday to Friday, within 24 hours of your request. The amount is taken from your balance only when the withdrawal is processed, so keep enough in your account until then, or the request will be rejected. We email you when it's processed or rejected. See How long do withdrawals take?
Card deposits
If there's been little trading compared with your card deposit (usually, total trading of less than three to four times the amount deposited), we may refund part or all of a withdrawal to that card instead of paying it by the method you chose. A card refund can take up to 14 business days to appear on your statement, and after a refund we may stop accepting deposits from that card. See Can I withdraw to my card?
Not permitted
- Depositing with a card or payment method that isn't in your own name.
- Credit card cashing: using a card deposit mainly to turn credit into cash.
- Using your account as a payment gateway, or as a way to move or exchange money.
If we find any of these, we may refund the deposit to where it came from and close your account.
Fees
- Deposits: we charge nothing. If you pay by bank transfer, your bank's transfer fee is paid by you.
- Withdrawals: bank transfers cost ¥1,000; crypto and V-Preca are free. See Withdrawal fees and limits.
- Withdrawing without trading: if you withdraw without trading, or after trading less than the amount you deposited, we may charge a fee of 10% of the amount deposited, at least ¥1,500 ($10) or the equivalent in your account's base currency.
- Wrong bank details: if a bank withdrawal bounces because the details were wrong, the money is returned to your account, but the withdrawal fee isn't refunded.
