Holiday trading hours

On some public holidays, the markets behind our currency pairs, gold and silver close early or don't open at all, so these assets do too. On an early-close day, they close at 16:00 UTC (1:00 Japan time the next day) instead of their usual time.

There's always something to trade: crypto and synthetic indices aren't affected by holidays. They trade every day of the year, apart from weekly maintenance.

We email you before each holiday and show a notice on the platform. While an asset is closed, it shows as closed on the trading screen.

Japanese public holidays

Japanese public holidays, including Golden Week and Obon, don't change trading hours. They can delay bank deposits and withdrawals, because Japanese banks are closed. See How long do deposits take? and How long do withdrawals take?

On all other days, the normal hours apply. See Trading hours.
