The CVV or CVC code is an additional security feature used in most credit card transactions. It is usually requested along with the credit card number and card expiry date.
For Visa, Mastercard and JCB cards it is typically a 3 digit number written on the back of the card on the right of the signature strip.
For American Express it is a 4 digit number written on the front top right portion of the card.
