The rules for a Zentrader account are short: one account per person, in your own name, funded with your own money and traded by you. They keep accounts and payments safe, and they're what our terms require. Here they are in plain language.
Your account
- One account per person. You may hold one account. A second application from the same person is rejected automatically. See Can I open more than one account?
- Family members have their own. People in the same family or household are welcome to trade, each on their own account, with their own identity check and their own payment methods. Opening an account in someone else's name isn't allowed.
- Real, current details. Register with your own name, email address and mobile number, and tell us when they change. See How to change your personal details.
- Adults in the countries we serve. You need to be 18 or over and live in a country where we offer accounts. See Who can open an account?
Your money
- Your own payment methods. Deposit from, and withdraw to, a bank account, card or wallet in your own name. See Can someone else deposit or withdraw for me?
- Deposits are for trading. Using a card deposit mainly to turn credit into cash, or using your account to move or exchange money, isn't permitted. See Deposit and withdrawal rules.
- Lawful funds. The money you deposit must be your own and come from a legitimate source.
Your trading
- You trade your own account. Nobody else may trade or manage it for you, so don't share your sign-in details with anyone. See Can Zentrader manage my account or teach me to trade?
- Trades are placed by hand. Robots, scripts and other automated trading tools aren't permitted at present. We're building an API that will allow automated trading, and it's coming soon. See Is automated trading allowed?
- Don't hide where you are. Using a VPN isn't banned in itself. What isn't allowed is using a VPN, or anything else, to hide or misrepresent the country you're in or where you live. Turn it off during the identity check.
- Trade fairly. Please use the platform as it's meant to be used. Trading that takes unfair advantage of our systems, and anything that disrupts the service, isn't allowed.
If a rule is broken
We'll normally contact you first and ask what happened. Depending on what we find, we may return a deposit to where it came from, and we may suspend or close the account. If you think we've got it wrong, tell us. See How to make a complaint.
These rules are a summary. The full terms are in your client area at my.zentrader.com/terms.
