How are Zentrader's prices set?

Our prices come from two sources, depending on the asset.

Currency pairs, gold, silver and crypto

We use institutional price feeds as our reference rates: FXCM Pro for currency pairs, gold and silver, and Binance for crypto. For each asset we price on the mid price: the bid price plus the ask price, divided by two.

Synthetic indices

Synthetic prices are generated by Order Flow Limited, a specialist provider of financial market data, using a cryptographically secure algorithm built to a set level of volatility. The feed is independently verified. Nobody at Zentrader can see, choose or change future prices. See What are synthetic indices?

The prices used for your trade

  • Entry price: the price at the moment your trade is accepted. For TOUCH and SPREAD, the line you see on the chart when you buy is the line your trade uses.
  • Closing price: the feed price at the expiry time.

Both are recorded in your trade history, so you can check every result.

Why our prices can differ from other charts and brokers

  • Mid versus bid. Many charting apps, including TradingView, chart the bid price. We use the mid price, so our chart will usually sit slightly above theirs by half the spread.
  • Different feeds. Foreign exchange and crypto markets have no single official price: every broker uses its own feed, and feeds update many times a second. Small differences at the same moment are normal.

Your trades are always settled on our feed, which is the one shown on the chart. If you have a question about a specific trade, contact support with the trade ID and we'll check the price for you.
