Yearly figures for your tax return

If you live in Japan and file a tax return (確定申告), the figures you need for the year come from Transaction History in the client area at my.zentrader.com. There's no separate annual report: the year's statement and its CSV file are the record.

  1. Open Transaction History and choose the period Last year, which covers 1 January to 31 December of the previous year. For the current year to date, choose This year.
  2. Open the Summary tab. The Total row gives your total investment and total payout for the year, per asset and overall. Your net trading result for the year is the total payout minus the total investment.
  3. The summary above the tabs gives the year's deposits and withdrawals, and your opening and closing balances of real funds and of cashback bonus.
  4. Choose Download CSV to keep the full record. The file's header names the issuer of your account, your name, your account number, the currency and the period, and the trade list shows each trade's date, investment and payout. See How to download your statement and transaction history.

Check that your device is set to Japan time before you choose the period, since times and dates follow your device's time zone.

We can't advise you on your tax position or on how any of these figures should be treated in your return. If you're unsure, please speak to a tax professional.
