Placing a trade takes a few taps. Here's the whole flow on the trading platform.
- Choose a trade type. HIGH/LOW, TOUCH or SPREAD. If you're new, start with HIGH/LOW. See Trade types compared.
- Choose an asset. Open the asset list and pick from the Forex, Indices, Commodities and Crypto tabs. Tap the star next to an asset to add it to your favourites, which stay at the top of the screen for quick switching. The percentage beside each asset is its current payout.
- Choose an expiry time. Short expiries, such as 30 seconds or 5 minutes, start the moment you buy. Fixed-time expiries, such as 15 minutes or 1 hour, end at set times on the clock. See Expiry times.
- Enter your trade amount. Type an amount or tap one of the presets. The minimum is ¥500 and the maximum is ¥100,000 ($5 to $1,000). The screen shows the payout you'll receive if the trade wins.
- Place the trade. Tap HIGH if you think the price will finish above the current price, or LOW if you think it will finish below. For TOUCH the buttons are UP and DOWN; for SPREAD they're ABOVE and BELOW. A confirmation shows the asset, direction, amount and expiry: tap to confirm.
Your trade appears straight away in Open Trades under the chart, and on the chart itself. When it expires, the result moves to History and any payout is added to your balance.
Good to know
- One Click Trade: to skip the confirmation step, turn on One Click Trade in Settings. Your trade is then placed the moment you tap the button.
- Closing early: on most trades of 3 minutes or longer, you can close before expiry for the amount shown in Open Trades. See Can I close a trade early?
- The green light next to Settings shows you're connected and prices are live.
- Practise first: the demo account works exactly the same way, with virtual funds.
