What is a payout?

The payout is what you receive if your trade wins. It's shown as a percentage of your trade amount and includes the amount you traded.

Example: you trade ¥1,000 at a 195% payout. If the trade wins, you receive ¥1,950: your ¥1,000 back plus ¥950 profit. If the trade loses, you lose the ¥1,000.

How the payout is shown

On the trading screen, the payout appears as a percentage, such as 195%, or as a multiplier, such as 1.95x, next to the amount you'd receive. Both mean the same thing: if the trade wins, you get back 1.95 times your trade amount.

Some other providers quote only the profit, for example 95% for the same trade. At Zentrader the figure always includes your trade amount, so a 195% payout here is the same as a 95% profit rate elsewhere.

Good to know

  • Shown before you buy: the payout is on the trading screen before you place the trade, and it's fixed once you enter.
  • Depends on the trade: it varies with the asset, the expiry time and the trade type. HIGH/LOW pays up to 200%, TOUCH and SPREAD up to 500%.
  • Closing early: if you close a trade before expiry, you receive a partial payout instead. See Can I close a trade early?
